Electromagnetic Flow Meter

Objectives

  • Recognize the electromagnetic (mag) flow meter
  • Explain the function of the mag flow meter

A flow meter is used to measure flow rate through a fixed area, like a pipe.

This measurement is usually expressed in terms of volume/time for a volumetric flow rate measurement (such as gpm, or m3/minute).
