Here's how we do it.
We make and sell a library of learning media: lessons, simulations, puzzles, et cetera. LunchBox Sessions is a subscription service. People pay a little, companies pay more.
Live Schematic simulations are what put us on the map. They let you play around inside a machine while it runs. You can try things that would be dangerous or physically impossible in real life, and gain a sense of the intangible forces inside dynamic systems.
We think a lot about the ways our tiniest decisions — design, technical, language — affect how people develop a deeper understanding, and how they'll feel as they do.

Open Positions
Full-time • Red Deer, AlbertaWe're looking for someone with a background in digital media: digital illustration, graphic design, technical writing, web design/development, computer programming, video production, or any related skill. Working closely with the rest of our team, you'll help build interactive simulations and informative, approachable lessons.
Our ideal candidate will have a methodical attention to detail. They will be eager to learn new skills and take on new challenges. They will feel comfortable adapting hard, technical subject matter into an approachable, empathetic learning process.
The work has two major aspects. First, you'll use digital media tools like Creative Cloud to draw simple diagrams (and illustrations, if you have art skills). Then, you'll use our scripting tools to bring those diagrams to life (and give them advanced simulation logic, if you have programming skills).
We'll help train you on the areas you're unfamiliar with, and figure out how your existing skills and interests can mesh with the other multi-faceted folks on our team. For example, if you have a background in creative or technical writing, we'll get you to help write our interactive articles. If you have a background in video or audio production, you can help with our live streams, 3d videos, and screencasts. We do a lot with a small team, so come prepared to use all the skills you've got.
This position is full-time, in-person at our office in Red Deer, Alberta.
The pay for this position will depend on your past experience. For someone at the beginning of their career with minimal relevant experience, the pay will be approximately $40k/year. For someone with a lot of experience, and strong art and programming skills, we're offering up to $80k/year to start.
